Write your own Monitoring Plugin in Python using the Linuxfabrik Libraries
In this workshop we will develop (at least) one monitoring plugin from scratch. Starting with the “example” check, we will show the general structure and build a plugin for a specific use case. We will get to know the Linuxfabrik Python Libs and use them to extend the plugin step by step until it supports some advanced features and can be tested with unit tests. We will also cover the README – the most important file of every plugin.
The workshop is based on the standards and principles of the CONTRIBUTING file of the Linuxfabrik Monitoring Plugins project. Basic knowledge of Python will be helpful.
