We are happy to announce the release of Icinga DB version 1.1 today. The main feature of this release is the addition of a tool for migrating host and service history from the IDO to Icinga DB.
Migrating lots of history data can take some time, so we built two features into the history migration tool. First, it allows you to limit the duration for which events are migrated so that you can skip really old ones. Second, the migration can be interrupted and resumed at a later time so that you don’t have to worry if you have to reboot a server in the meantime. For details on how to use this tool, please head over to the new documentation for it.
Apart from that, we did a small change that reduces the RAM usage during a full sync and updated the dependencies used by Icinga DB. If you’re interested in the details, please have a look at the milestone on GitHub.
